THE DOMAIN

The Domain is a mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. Inserted into a neo-urban site, the development is graced with large clusters of oak trees in which the Landscape Architect, J. Robert Anderson and developers, SIMON, created a comfortable street scene for shopping.  Kincannon Studios participated in two phases of this project.

During the Planning and Design phase,  Holly Kincannon was commissioned as an Art Consultant to assist the design team on the Public Art Master Plan.   The photos below represent only a few of the 20+ local superstars that eventually produced works for the Domain streetscape.

Beyond planning, Joseph Kincannon designed and produced three stone sculptures that were placed at the north end of the streetscape. Images of his work may be viewed in the Stoneworks, Transitional Ornament section of this website.
