MANANA RESIDENCE
This house at Manyana is set on a private lagoon of Lake Austin, and was designed by Jeff Berkus, Architect with interiors designed by his lovely wife, Rebecca. Kincannon Studios was commissioned to design several pieces with Holly acting as the lead designer. The columns on the terrace are of a New England material, Schist, and are bold in their treatment of form. The interior fireplace was intended to offset the raw energy of the schist columns that are in view, and invoke a nuanced response between an organic line and modern masonry. Other elements designed by Ms Kincannon for this project include a leaf-like sink of limestone, and a set of twisted, tapered columns of soapstone for an upstairs balcony.
