Professional Designers & Planners
Kincannon Studios is an interdisciplinary studio educated in architecture and planning, as well as certified by guild craftsmen in masonry & sculpture. Our studio is capable of providing full design services for buildings, landscapes, urban design, restoration and adaptive reuse projects. To ensure thorough execution of a project, our services range from schematic design through construction. Our design and construction documents are executed in AutoCad, 3/d computer modeling such as BIM, or illustrated by hand depending on the level of requirements per project. Our staff is uncommon in that we are trained to design spaces, as well as their complimentary elements.
Sculpture & Ornament Production
Our artwork is hand-crafted by dedicated carvers. The artists of Kincannon Studios are trained by traditional guild masters, but we wish to promote innovations within the design and building industries. Long ago, we pledged our physical and creative energies to act as facilitators between traditional architecture and the aesthetics of the contemporary world. Because we have endeavored this commitment, our work has evolved as a transitional, and stabilizing typology. Our sculptors are passionate, and have experience with the following materials: clay, plaster, limestone, marble, sandstone, alabaster, soapstone and slate.
Restoration Consultants & Technicians
We have participated in the master plans of historic properties and are accustomed to providing on-site inspections, project planning and consultation, as well as design and construction drawings. The execution of conservation techniques includes knowledge of cleaning, preserving, retooling, “Dutchman” repairs and replacement. Kincannon Studios can ensure accurate historical detailing and reproduction.
Masonry Consultation & Fabrication
